Gryphon Audio Designs sells minority stake to Goer Dynamics

Goer Dynamics of Qingdao, Shandong, China announced the acqusition of a minority stake in Gryphon Audio Designs ApS of Ry, Midtjylland, Danmark.

Gryphon Audio Designs, a privately owned company, is known for manufacturing high end amplifiers, source components and speakers. It was founded in 1985 by an industrial designer Fleming Rasmussen, who eventually retired in 2018 and in 2010 sold his shares in the company to his colleague Valdemar Børsting. Gryphon Audio Designs ApS is a part of Gryphon Holdings ApS, founded by Valdemar Børsting (90% of shares) and several Gryphon Audio staff members who own less then 10% of company stakes.

Apart from minority stake in Gryphon Audio Designs Goer Dynamics will also exclusively distribute Gryphon products in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. The company promises fresh approach to distribution and also aims to explore automotive market for future Gryphon products.

Goer Dynamics is a part of Goerdyna Group Co., Ltd. and become involved in audio business when its division, Goertek, purchased Dynaudio, a famous Danish-German speaker manufacturer, in 2014.

In December 2024 Goer Dynamics purchased Auro 3D immersive sound technology from NewAuro BV with a potential goal to use the technology for streaming live music, in-car audio experience and other sound uses in home entertainment and gaming. NewAuro BV was a part of Belgian private equity firm Saffelberg Investments which in turn purchased Auro-3D intellectual property and assets in 2022 from Auro Technologies NV, a private company launched in Belgium in 2010.
