IsoFlare is proprietary Fyne Audio's technology where a combination low/high frequency driver is used to reach a theoretically ideal point source of sound. The benefits of IsoFlare loudspeakers are easily experienced as a natural listening experience in your hi-fi music system and Fyne Audio is proud to announce that the IsoFlare LF/HF-drive units are now to be used in all its speaker ranges including the new F500E series.
All new entry level Fyne Audio F500E loudspeaker range will replace the popular F300i/F300 series which featured conventional separate HF and LF drive units. Four models will comprise the new attractively priced F500E speakers: universal left-center-right F5E LCR and F502 LCR, compact bookshelf F5E, and floorstanding F502E. LCR and bookshelf models can be wall-mounted for space saving two-channel or home cinema setup.
IsoFlare is what Fyne Audio calls its 'core technology' and a radical evolution of well known coaxial or dual concentric designs known to speaker industry since 1950s. Placing HF and LF drive units on the same axis allows to radiate all frequencies from a single source but having them also in the same point in space aligns them in time as well. With a properly designed crossover the IsoFlare speaker has outstandingly uniform sound directivity in 360°space at all frequencies; without any phase errors, beaming effects or sound pressure level dives and peaks associated with any conventional driver configurations.
As a result of isotropic full-sphere sound radiation your listening experience is greatly enhanced: interference from reflections in the room is reduced, optimum listening position is not tied to a single point in room, speaker placement allows for much wider optimal choices and so on so forth. There is also that inherent naturalness which our hearing appreciates from a point source in space in front of you, true sound quality now is less dependent on room acoustic qualities or loudspeaker positioning.
New F500E loudspeakers from Fyne Audio have debuted at Warsaw Audio Video Show this October. At this time there is no information on release schedule or pricing in UK and elsewhere but we will update as soon as this information becomes available.
