The Chord Company PowerHAUS Mains Block is the culmination of decades of expertise in signal and power transfer, featuring a unique adaptation of Chord's renowned ARAY technology, known as MainsARAY, specifically tailored for power distribution.
Every component inside the PowerHAUS is meticulously chosen and purpose-built to uncompromising standards. Both the M6 and S6 models are non-switched and deliberately omit filters and neon power indicators that can introduce noise and degrade performance. Their robust aluminium construction also helps to minimise the detrimental effects of microphony.
PowerHAUS blocks are equipped with high-quality, heavy-gauge cables throughout, and sockets selected for both their reliability and sound performance. A high-performance 16-amp IEC ensures the PowerHAUS blocks can handle even the most demanding home audio systems.
Available in two performance tiers, the flagship M6 (Master) and the entry-level S6 (Studio), these six-way PowerHAUS distribution devices are the result of one of the most extensive product development processes we have undertaken.
The flagship M6 delivers superior performance, employing three hybrid MainsARAYs installed in parallel (not in series) to the bus bars. This configuration effectively eliminates high-frequency noise while remaining outside the main circuit. Unlike star-wired designs, which are prone to RFI, the M6 uses three isolated bus bars, with the earth bus bar positioned as far away as possible from both the live and neutral bars.
