The addition of the XBD cabinet, which houses a second precision 12” Radial™ driver, boosts LF headroom by 3dB below 380Hz, allowing larger rooms to be energised with greater impact. In surround setups, the extra headroom of the XBD easily manages the .1 effects channel, often eliminating the need for additional sub units. Found in quality-focused facilities like Studio Hilversum in the Netherlands, the MB2 XBD’s 32-element, 4th-order passive crossovers are housed in external enclosures that can be mounted on the back of the XBD cabinets, ensuring exceptional fidelity.
