Chord Electronics Mojo 2, multi-award winning portable DAC and headphone amp, gets its headphone outputs and charging configuration re-vamped. Original two identical 3.5mm outputs will be from now on replaced by independently regulated single 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs. This facilitates broader headphone compatibility since balanced 4.4mm plugs are gaining popularity on high-performance premium-priced headphones.
Volume control and digital signal processing are completely independent for two headphone outputs on new Mojo 2s.
While at it, the Chord Electronics engineering team also updated the device USB-C electronics and Mojo 2’s USB-C port from now on may be used both for charging and data transfer.
No price increase comes with this important hardware change, so the Mojo 2 price stays the same, in EU it’s €499.
