PMC 6 XBD

PMC
By adding a PMC8 SUB to the PMC6, you can effortlessly upgrade the setup to a twin-cabinet XBD monitor system, enhancing bass performance and extending the system's low-frequency capabilities.

With the PMC6 XBD system, the bass response is extended from 39Hz down to 25Hz, transforming it into a genuine midfield monitor in a compact form. This configuration also turns the PMC6 into a true three-way speaker. By offloading the lowest bass frequencies to the subwoofer, mid-bass distortion is reduced, headroom is increased, and the mid-range gains added clarity, giving vocals greater realism and depth.

Setting up the PMC6 XBD system is straightforward: connect the input directly to the PMC6 and use an AES3 digital cable to link the main monitor’s ‘through’ output to the PMC8 SUB. The cabinets can be networked via LAN or connected directly through their network ports. Once the dedicated 'XBD' mode is selected, the DSP seamlessly merges both units into a single, larger-scale monitor. Fine-tuning can be done via the rear-panel controls or using the intuitive SoundAlign™ software through the LAN connection, where both speakers appear as one unified PMC6 XBD system.
