Will Vienna Acoustics benefit from selling 70% of shares to JRC Group Spółka Akcyjna (Joint-Stock Company)?

JRC group SA, a company listed on WSE Polish stock exchange, is growing its presence across Europe, now owning two distinct brands Vienna Acoustics in Vienna, Austria and Pylon in Jarocin, Poland.

Pylon Audio Brand

Pylon SA was founded in 2011 as an OEM/ODM speaker cabinet manufacturer when a younger generation management team (Mateusz Jujka and Mikołaj Rubeńczyk) decided to branch out from a family-owned furniture business. In 2016 it has built a dedicated industrial facility in Jarocin, started to market the Pylon brand speakers and in November 2022 Pylon SA became JRC Group SA to reflect the diversification of its business interests. Corporate headquarters are currently in Warsaw.

Vienna Acoustics Loudspeaker brand

In April 2025 V.A. Lautsprechermanufaktur GmbH sold 70% of its shares to JRC Group SA. The Austrian company was founded by Peter Gansterer in 1989 and its loudspeaker brand Vienna Acoustics has a noted presence in quality hi-fi and high end markets worldwide. For the last decade a significant amount of speaker cabinets for Vienna Acoustics have been sourced from Pylon Audio in Poland.

A rescue plan or consolidation of efforts?

While we can only guess the true reasons of this somewhat unusual corporate deal numerous reports indicate that both companies are expected to benefit from this acquisition. Vienna Acoustics gets access to robust manufacturing facilities in a (nearly) neighbouring country with relatively lower labour costs. Meanwhile, the JRC Group has expanded its portfolio by acquiring a well-known, established brand that is easily recognisable in the main high-end audio markets outside the EU: The Americas and Far East.

In a joint statement the parties emphasised that the original technological and managerial leadership of Peter Gansterer (design and tech development) and his sister Maria (Managing Director) will be preserved in the Vienna Acoustics future. The company will remain an independent entity within the JRC Group.

To quote: “The founders’ presence in the operational structure ensures further product development based on established quality standards and experience, while simultaneously leveraging the potential for synergy and economies of scale resulting from group membership.
The Management Board of JRC Group S.A. assumes that combining the potential of both entities – in terms of technology, engineering, manufacturing, and sales – will bring significant operational synergies and strengthen the Group’s position in the premium audio market”.
