Loewe Technology GmbH, a global TV and audio producer, based in Kronach, Germany announced acquisition of Cabasse SA, historically important speaker manufacturer and innovator, which recently applied for insolvency to a Commercial Court in Montpelier, France.

While Loewe is mostly known for design-conscious high end TVs, it has an audio department, where, until the Cabasse acquisition, the company was focused on headphones and has supported its promotional campaign with some heavyweight sport celebrities as brand ambassadors and endorsers: Alexander Zverev and Kylian Mbappé, for instance.

Aslan Khabliev (main photo), CEO and owner of Loewe Technology, according to several industry sources, commented: “Cabasse represents the essence of acoustic excellence. By bringing their exceptional expertise into the Loewe world, we are taking our audio capabilities to a whole new level.”

Interestingly enough Loewe itself was rescued from insolvency in 2020 by current CEO who managed to put the company on strong footing very soon. Now Loewe certainly has the resources to move forward with the original Cabasse designs and acoustic technologies, noting also Loewe’s expansion into the US market where it re-started business in January 2026.

Reports indicate that Cabasse will continue to operate independently and will remain based in Brest, France, where it will continue its research, development and production activities. Loewe will support Cabasse through targeted investments in talent, infrastructure and product development, while providing its international sales platform and marketing capabilities.

At this time further information is limited and financial terms of the sale were not disclosed publicly.

We have recently covered the Cabasse SA dire situation in this news article: Cabasse SA declares insolvency. The problem now seems to be resolved by Loewe’s investment in the French speaker brand.
