The Chord Electronics ULTIMA Integrated is a class-leading, pure-analog integrated amplifier that combines the company’s reference-grade preamplification and power amplification into a single, breathtaking chassis. Marking a historic milestone, it is the very first integrated amplifier to feature Chord’s flagship ULTIMA topology, originally developed for their highest-end monoblocks.
At its core is John Franks’ proprietary dual-feed-forward error-correction technology, which monitors and corrects the audio signal before the output stage, resulting in astonishing transient speed and zero distortion. Delivering a muscular 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms, it can effortlessly drive demanding High-End loudspeakers. Deliberately omitting a built-in DAC to ensure a timeless, pure-analog signal path, the amplifier features four line-level inputs (one fully balanced XLR and three unbalanced RCA). Crucially, each input is individually buffered to prevent radio frequency interference (RFI).
