The Gold Note CD-1000 MKII is a state-of-the-art, reference-grade CD player and standalone DAC engineered for purists who demand absolute acoustic perfection from their physical media collections. In the ultra-high-end tier, the fundamental flaw of conventional CD players is their reliance on lightweight, mass-produced optical drives that suffer from microphonic vibrations and rotational instability.
The Gold Note CD-1000 MKII eliminates this mechanical bottleneck by utilizing a custom-integrated, ultra-precise Austrian StreamUnlimited JPL-2800 transport. Housed in a custom-machined, heavy aluminum drawer, this mechanism guarantees flawless, bit-perfect extraction of standard Red Book CDs. Beyond physical media, it serves as a supreme digital hub. Equipped with a premium BurrBrown DAC and high-resolution digital inputs (Coaxial and Optical), it imparts unmistakable Italian analog warmth to external digital sources.
For the uncompromising audiophile, its crowning achievement is infinite scalability: the CD-1000 MKII is designed to be paired seamlessly with the pure Class-A TUBE-1012 or TUBE-1006 valve output stages, as well as the massive PSU-1250 or PSU-1000 external linear power supplies. This modular architecture makes it a definitive, future-proof digital source that grows alongside your ultimate dream system.
