Meze Audio 105 AER is an ultra-lightweight, premium open-back dynamic headphone engineered for maximum comfort, versatility, and an airy, energetic sound signature. Weighing just 336 grams, it features structural components made from cast zinc alloy, stamped manganese spring steel, and PC-ABS earcups finished with a durable, scratch-resistant PU leather headrest.
At its heart lies a meticulously tuned 50mm dynamic driver. The driver’s W-shaped dome is crafted from a carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose composite to minimize harmonic distortion. Surrounding the dome is a semicrystalline polymer torus, PVD-coated in titanium for optimal stiffness and transient speed, complemented by precise 45.5° grooves and a copper-zinc alloy stabilizer. Designed to be highly efficient (42-ohm impedance and 112 dB sensitivity), the 105 AER is easily driven by smartphones or portable DACs across a 5 Hz to 30 kHz frequency range.
It comes equipped with plush, breathable velour ear cushions and a custom 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter featuring an integrated DAC/AMP, making it an ideal plug-and-play solution for modern desktop and mobile setups.
