As the first manual turntable in the M series, the Rekkord M500 sets the bar incredibly high. The main aim was to develop a stunning record player based on technically superior tonearms. Consequently, it beautifully combines a heavy basic chassis with a floating sub-chassis.
Despite its slim profile, the basic chassis of this premium german turntable possesses the necessary mass to dampen impact noise and external vibration. Furthermore, the aluminium-covered sub-chassis completely floats on four parabolic springs, brilliantly decoupling it from the base.
Three buffered aluminium feet and cardan tonearm mounting make time-consuming levelling unnecessary. Moreover, high-precision anti-skating ensures an uncomplicated installation. It is available with or without the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, reproducing every natural voice and instrument.

The M500 features a decoupled suspended sub-chassis architecture, where the bearing assembly, damped aluminum platter, and tonearm base are floating and isolated from the heavy main MDF plinth and decoupled DC motor. Its defining technical highlight is the custom 8.3-inch ultra-low-mass (ULM) aluminum tonearm mounted on a precision four-point tip-bearing gimbal mechanism. Tracking force is calibrated via a massless torsion spring system, maintaining ideal balance and center of gravity across uneven surfaces. Fitted with an Ortofon 2M Blue Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge featuring a Nude Elliptical stylus, the M500 delivers exceptional transient speed, extended micro-dynamics, and precise channel separation across 33 ⅓ and 45 RPM speeds.
