The Chord Electronics 2Yu is an advanced digital interface designed specifically to dock with the Chord 2go streamer and server. Its primary function is to transform the 2go from a dedicated Hugo 2 module into a fully standalone, high-end network bridge (transport) that can be used with any external Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC).
Boasting 2,000 MIPS (million instructions per second) of processing power, the 2Yu features an integrated sample rate converter and a highly precise, low-jitter audio phase lock loop (PLL) to ensure pristine digital signal timing. When physically mated to the 2go, it provides a comprehensive suite of digital outputs: TOSLINK optical, coaxial BNC, RCA coaxial, and USB-A. This allows seamless integration into any high-fidelity desktop or traditional Hi-Fi system.
Capable of supporting ultra-high-resolution audio up to 768kHz and DSD256, the 2Yu can also function independently as a reference-grade USB-to-digital audio converter (DDC) when connected directly to a PC or Mac via its Micro USB input. It is housed in Chord’s signature CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminum chassis.
